Reward Based Training

All my services are based on helping you build a positive relationship with your puppy.  All my training is reward-based which is scientifically proven to teach puppies to learn in a kind and effective way.  I ensure that my knowledge is up to date and utilises all the latest knowledge and information on how puppies learn.

No harsh or aversive treatment, physical force, punishment-based training techniques will be used or allowed in any of my services.  Similarly, no equipment causing discomfort, pain or fear to the puppy is allowed.  It simply is not necessary to teach a puppy in this way.

Booking

All services must be booked and paid for in advance.  Puppy School classes are booked via the online service, and the national T&Cs will be shown to you prior to payment being made.  If you wish to discuss if the class is a suitable environment for your puppy then please contact me prior to booking (this is particularly advisable if your puppy is towards the top end of the age limit and you are unsure if your pup will cope being in close proximity to other people and puppies).

Refunds, cancellations and missed sessions

For Classes:

Refunds cannot be given unless your place in the class can be filled. This would need to be before the course has started.  If your place is filled then a refund can be issued (minus a 10% admin fee).

Pups should not attend class if they have diarrhoea or sickness within 24 hours prior to class (unless cleared by your vet) nor if your pup is coughing or showing any symptoms of kennel cough (please check with your vet if you are unsure).  Female pups coming into season or in season can not attend class. Refunds cannot be given for missed classes but notes will be provided to you and coaching support can be given online where you video your practice and receive feedback.

For 1:2:! training:

If you need to cancel a session and you provide me with more than 48 hours notice then your session can be rearranged. However, less than 48 hours will incur a 50% charge and less than 24 hours will be charged at a full rate. Rearranged sessions will need to be undertaken in a timely manner and within 2 months of the original booking.

Adverse weather and Trainer Illness:

Adverse weather or trainer illness may mean that I have to cancel a class or home visit. This is a very uncommon event. If this occurs I will contact you as soon as I can. An alternative date will be offered to you or a refund for that date given.
